on the prowl

Checked my trail cam the other day and had this dandy buck on film in a snow storm. This is on a tiny piece of property in a suburb of the Twin Cities.

All Day AP Blizzard Blitz

Had a great time yesterday with all the people and kids that came out for the Adrian Peterson Blizzard Blitz benefiting the Starkey Hearing Foundation held on Lake Waconia.  I think the event drew about 700 participants and over 1000 total out on the ice for the day.  It was a pleasure to be a part of this great event and can't say enough good things about the great folks over at the Walser Foundation and Walser Automotive Group that sponsored this event and helped feed all the kids smores.
Lola's Lake house on Lake Waconia hosted PA from KFAN in the morning and then put on the dinner last night and did a great job.  Thank you to all the staff at Lolas that worked their hinnys off to keep everyone happy.  Over 100 volunteers came out to keep everything running smooth.  Everyone did a great job.

Lizard-meet my friend Pistol Pete

First and foremost I must apologize for the lack of content lately.  I have been overly busy on the ice and also was in Indy for a week for the ATA show(more about that later).  After getting back in town I headed straight to the shack to get back on the walleyes(lizards).  Pete, Gunnar, Hotrod, and myself jumped on tonka for a night of lizard fishing.

We were in search of tail with white tips and we found them.  Pete was able to catch this dandy walleye jigging in over 20 feet of water on a Northland Buckshot Spoon tipped with a minnow head.  I also got in on the action and had a nice lizard over 20".  It was a great evening on Lake Minnetonka with great friends.  Can't wait until the next outing.  Thanks fellas.  Until then-Fish On!

Will be bringing some new video content to the site ever so soon.  I have been taking lots of video-just struggling to find the time to get it all edited.  Too many fish to catch.  ;)
