Tour Stop #5

I am headed to Arkansas to Lake Ouachita for FLW tour stop # 5.  I will be posting pictures and updates as the event gets going.  Practice starts Saturday with the tourney starting Wednesday. 

Crouching Bone Fish "erman"

This is a short clip of myself sight fishing the bone fish in the Bahamas. You will get a small look at how strong these fish really are. Also you will see the famous "long strip" with the 8 wt. I just returned from one of the best trips anyone could ask for. It is an area of the Bahamas we call "the edge of the world". I went to Sweetings Cay with my brother Jim for 5 days of bone fishing, diving, and whatever else we could find to do. This is a small glimpse into what it is like to go stand on the edge of the world and go fishing. No cell phones, no email, and no other people. We stayed on an island that is occupied by less than a 100 Bahamians. We ate from the sea every day and lived just how they do. It was one of the neatest experiences I have ever had. We even lost running water for a day. This slide show is just the tip of the ice berg. I will be posting more pics and videos soon.

With the MN fishing opener just one week away now is the time to get your slot to fishwithmatt on either Lake Waconia or Lake Minnetonka.  If you are looking for a guided fishing trip in the metro for walleye please let me know, I have some openings for May and the fish will be biting.  You will get to fish out of the Mosaic wrap ranger boat that has been on tour this year. 

These fish were caught by Jay Moore on a guide trip on Waconia in May.  He has got to enjoy many great outings like this one.
