Why Why Why-Must the wind be so relentless

For the past 10 days I think the wind has blown 20 plus for at least 8 of them.  It has been very tough fishing as of late with the wind and never ending weather systems that roll through.  Temps have started to drop and fall is in the air.  Water temps have fallen below 70 in many places.  I have had to cancel atleast half of my recent booked outings due to severe wind.  Hopefully this hurricane like winds will soon be over and I can get back to doing what I do best.

I did get to share the boat last night with 2 past AL MVP's-Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau.  Unfortunately the rain and weather came in about an hour into our adventure.  We had to pull up shop and call it a short evening after only catching a few bass.

Midwave Corp Outing

I was recently asked to be apart of a corporate outing on Lake Minnetonka for Midwave that involved 70 guides in a tournament format.  It was not fast and furious but it they did get to catch a handful of nice bass.  My team ended up in 4th place with their 3 best bass weighing in at 9.38.

All of the fish that they caught came throwing a Big Bite 5" trick stick on a 1/8oz Jig worm head.  I had them casting it up to an edge on the weeds and dragging it back.  It had to be fished super slow.  It was a great day!  :)  Just make sure and scream Fish On!

Mauer catches fish as well

Was able to share a boat tonight with a fellow MN boy Joe Mauer who enjoys being on the water.  He can catch fish too!  :)  We actually struggled in the high winds to produce good bites.....heck bites at all.  Joe was able to catch a nice bass that went almost 3lbs.  Thank you to Joe, Adam, Lucas, and Hotrod for the great evening on the water.  We shared 2 boats and were able to get some great footage for the new bornonthewater venture.  We are hard at it collecting footage and photos.

Good laughs boys.

Until next time-Get a kid out fishing and let them enjoy their own Crush It! session.  Fish On!

Back In MN! Bass Crush

It has been so UNBA lately!  It feels so good to be back bass fishing in MN on Lake Waconia, Lake Minnetonka, and many other great bodies of water.  The fishing has been fire lately.  The muskie fishing has been pretty nuts as well.

These pictures are from some recent ventures......who wants to catch a few?

Needless to say it has been a fun few weeks being back.  Like I said earlier the muskies have been biting, just haven't been coming in the boat.  Some times thats how things go in fishing, and especially muskie fishing!
