Pistol Pete's Willy

Even Pete can catch'm!  This 25" walleye took a tip-up rigged with a fathead.  After a quick photo Pete released this great Minnetonka walleye.

Another Giant

Tony's 12 year old son Sam is on the big fish board!  This fish hit a shiner on a rattle reel in the middle of the night.  It measured 29" and was a total fatty, as you can see.  I apologize for the quality of this picture but it was taken with a cell phone.  Tony is displaying the fish.  Another reason to get off the couch and take up ice fishing.  Remember all these fish have been caught in metro lakes, no need to drive 150 miles when the lakes right here in our back yard produce fish like this.

Mizy's Donkey

Once again a giant Minnetonka walleye.  This time it was caught by Mizy...when is it going to be my turn again to pull one of these giants up.  This fish had a length of 31" and a girth of 19"!  Mizy realeased this fish back in the lake to fight again.  Great fish, Mizy!

From Pitching to Catching

Brad Radke (former pitcher for the MN Twins) and his long time friend Rodney were able to take advantage of a hot walleye bite on Lake Minnetonka.  This time Brad wasn't pitching but rather catching, catching walleyes that is!

The key to catching these nice eater walleyes was to wait them out.  We only had one fish at 7:30 but as the night progressed the action picked up.  About every 20 minutes or so we would have another fish come in and take a rattle reel.  When the dust all cleared they had 6 nice eaters to take home for the family and lost a few with one big one breaking the line.
