The Chase Continues

Filmed this nice buck from my deer stand tonight. Fortunately for him, he wasn't the one we are after. The chase continues....for the boss buck!
You would be hard pressed to find a group of guys more passionate about hunting or the outdoors then the fellas I run with. I understand this passion is not for everyone. ;) For those of us who share in this passion for the outdoors, you can appreciate this short video. Back in the woods early tomorrow for more of this insanity we call, "bow hunting"!

Wanna mingle with me

This is one of the "dandy" bucks we are after.... Caught him on a Primos Truth Cam 60 making a nice scrape last night.

The Other Season

This is a short video of a nice buck that I was able to catch on camera at Pedro's farm. I am using the new Primos Truthcam 60's and 46's and have had great luck with both video and still images. They are excellent trail cams and simple to use. As many of you that are close to me know....I am a nut for bow hunting. It does not matter what I am bow hunting, I just love everything about it. Whitetails seem to be my true passion but I am open to chasing any animal I can with my bow. This is the other season....the time between fishing and more fishing. Every year, at the same time of year, I take a break from fishing and chase whitetails with my bow...that time has arrived once again. I was able to harvest a nice drop tine buck back in September but am back in the woods with the fellas for 2 weeks of filming during prime time. :) Stay tuned for the photos of what gets put on the ground this week.....

Not so small-smallies

The fall is a great time to get out and catch fish of all sorts....but especially big brown smallmouth.  The weather has continued to rock and so has the smallmouth fishing.  I was able to get on the water today with a couple good friends and all of us managed to catch some dandy fish.

The smallmouth bass is one of the strongest fish; pound for pound; you can ever catch.  They pull so hard, especially since they river fish.  They are missiles, built to swim in heavy current every day.  I refer to it as "breaking your arm" when you get one of these big fish on!  Until next time, Fish On!
